Harrisburg MO SPORTS: (CLICK) GO DAWGS!!!!!!

A photo and lighting place! Here I'll post some stuff I've shot in the process of learning.

Mostly, I shoot with: Nikon D700 or my NEW D7000,

Sigma lenses:
* 70-200mm f/2.8 HSM-II (sports & portrait - SHARP!)
* 24-70mm f/2.8 HSM (my fave),
* 105mm EX macro (VERY sharp!), &
* My new 12-24mm EX HSM (WIDE!).
Other:
* Nikkor 70-300 f/4-5.6 VR HSM (pretty cheap, disposable, pretty sharp out to 200mm and a long reach with a crop frame),
* Nikkor 70-210mm f/4 (light and compact, but not
as sharp as the Sigma 70-200 EX),
* Nikkor 60mm micro (UBER SHARP LIKE THE SIGMA 105 EX).

Flash stuff:
* Nikon SB800 (2, with ttl cord),
* 4 Nikon SB-25/26s (old, manual, reliable, nice),
* 6 ancient Sunpak 611 flashes (old, manual, reliable, nice) with big SLA battery packs for studio, tabletop macro and portraits (GN=168 = lotsa light for a $50 flash).

And
tons of stands, umbrellas, soft-boxes, mounts hot & cold shoes, cords, pocket wizard radio triggers, reflectors, scrims, backdrops, adapters, snoots, grids, batteries , chargers, bags & cases, gewgaws, gimcracks, whatchamacallits, doohickeys, thingamajigs, whatnots, widgets, et cetera.

I love to shoot out on the street, but the technical aspects of photography/lighting are fascinating - and sometimes vexing. I am fortunate to shoot with motivated and inquisitive photographers.

I am available for portraits, senior photos & product photography. evenings and weekends.

Commercially printed copies (up to 24" x 30" of most photos seen here are available on high quality paper for framing.

A couple of fans at 9th & Broadway. This is an old shot, but I love patrons of the arts.
Mr. Friendly and the student of gravity. 20% crop. I LOVE my Sigma 70-200 2.8, but Mr. Friendly does not.

The Pow Wow
The Pow Wow was fun. John helped set up the lighting at the portrait booth. I had to shut down early because the wind kept after my umbrella, but I got a couple of good ones.

What, me worry?

The Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville Missouri

They have the standard military headstones here, but this memorial wall intrigues me. Most of those buried here have died since 2000. The cemetery is huge, but only one small section currently has graves in it. There's lakes, a visitor center and beautiful landscaping
