Spent Saturday morning doing a few shots for Sekkii. We worked Alley A in downtown Columbia. Great cloudy day for using flash. I decided to do a 1-lite shoo, trying to make it look like nighttime while shooting in daylight. Needed a rim-light on some for separation, but didn't have room behind Sekkii in the small alley. Shoot noir - get noir.
Strobist: Nikon D700 @ ISO 200, Sigma 70-200 2.8 EX @ F/5.6, Nikon sb-25 @ 1/2 power in shoot-through brolly with reflector (white) fill, pocket wizards.

Sekkii
A fellow walking through the ally while we were shooting, so I coopted him to join in the image.
Test shot the day before the shoot.
Went to the Joe McNally / David Hobby Flashbus tour in St. Louis with John Leach. GREAT presentation by two super shooters.

w00t! In the middle of the show at the last stop of Joe McNally and David Hobby's 2011 Flash Bus Tour, he snagged me as the
victim subject for a demonstration on stage. He took off his glasses and said "Here, put these on." Joe was gracious enough to give me the image at the end of the presentation. Kinda cool to get your portrait by one of the best shooters in the past 50 years.
